If you are also waiting for Apple Intelligence in your iPhone, then this is an important news for you. Apple is going to release iOS 18.1 soon, after which all iPhone models will get support for Apple Intelligence. Apple Intelligence is Apple's AI tool which will be used for many tasks in iPhone.

As its support document list notes, Apple Intelligence will go live on the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and all iPhone 16 models, as well as on M1 and later iPad and Mac models. iPhone models will be required to at least have up to 4GB of storage to install and utilize the features brought by Apple Intelligence. What is not clear, though, is how much more storage will be taken in the future by features using AI. That need is likely to expand to 8GB in the coming 12 months without surprise.

Initial capabilities of Apple Intelligence will be part of iOS 18.1, including Writing Tools to assist with rewriting text, proofreading, and summarizing. Siri will have an all-new design, including the ability to type your question. A new design of lights glowing on the sides of the device are shown when Siri is turned on.
