India's world champion chess player D Gukesh usually looks very serious, but on Friday, he was seen in a different style in a cowboy hat, long shoes, and a leather jacket. Gukesh and other players participating in the Norway Chess Tournament got a day's rest day. During this time, the organizers organized various activities for everyone. Its purpose was to relieve the players from the stress of chess. At the same time, the players also enjoyed these activities to the fullest.

All the players participating in the tournament gathered at Westernbyen, a kind of cowboy ranch in Algard. Gukesh paired up with women's world champion Xu Yuhua of China, Arjun Erigasi paired up with compatriot Koneru Humpy, while R Vaishali paired up with Fabiano Caruana.

Players participated in activities like rifle shooting, axe throwing, rope throwing, horseshoe throwing, horse riding, and question-and-answer. Apart from this, there was a special activity of posing in a beautiful way with a pony. Points were also given for participating in these activities.

Indian woman Grandmaster Koneru Humpy topped the rifle shooting activity and hit all 10 targets. Humpy said, I wish my daughter was also here. She would have enjoyed it a lot.

Such activities have been organised during the tournament for the last several years. A picture of five-time former world champion Viswanathan Anand of India always comes to mind, in which he is seen cooking. Anand then paired up with former world champion Ding Liren of China to win a cooking competition. The pair prepared a popular fish dish called Halibut with Hollandaise Sauce.
