India vs New Zealand Clash Has No Impact on Super Six Qualification

A total of eleven teams have been confirmed to participate in the Super Six stage of the upcoming tournament, the ICC Men's Under-19 World Cup 2026. A total of 12 teams have qualified to participate in the Super Six stage, while one team will qualify after the Bangladesh and USA match. The team that wins this match will qualify to participate in the Super Six stage. England and New Zealand have already qualified to participate in the Super Six stage, as they have qualified from Group D. Sri Lanka, Australia, and Ireland have progressed to the next stage after emerging victorious from Group A. India and New Zealand have done the same from Group B. Notably, New Zealand has yet to win a match, and both of its matches were abandoned due to rain, but with two points, it has qualified for the Super Six.

This group will feature a match between Bangladesh and the USA, while India and New Zealand will also face each other. While the result of the match between India and New Zealand will have no impact on the Super Six standings, the match between Bangladesh and the USA will determine the 12th team in the Super Six.

England, Pakistan, and Zimbabwe have qualified for the Super Six from Group C. Zimbabwe has yet to win a single match in this tournament, losing two matches and having one match abandoned due to rain. Zimbabwe's net run rate was slightly better than Scotland's, securing a spot in the Super Six. Afghanistan, from Group D, won all three of its matches and secured a place in the Super Six. West Indies qualified for the next round after winning two matches and South Africa won one. Tanzania was the only team eliminated from Group D.
