India A beat Bangladesh A 1-0 in the 2 unofficial Test series. India won the second match of the series by an inning and 123 runs. The first test was a draw.
The second Test was played in Sylhet, Bangladesh. Team India-A's left-arm spinner Saurabh Kumar took 6 wickets for 74 runs in the second innings. He also took five wickets in the first Test. He was India's most successful bowler in the series with 15 wickets. Along with this, he has staked a claim as a replacement for injured spinner Ravindra Jadeja in the 2-Test series against Bangladesh.
Bangladesh A started the game at 49/2 on the last day. The team lost the third wicket only after adding 6 runs. Mominul Haque was shown the way to the pavilion by stumping wicketkeeper Bharat. None of the Bangladesh batsmen could support opener Shadman Islam. Shadman carried his bat by scoring 93 not out.
The second wicket of the day fell in the form of Shahadat Hossain. He was dismissed for an individual score of 29 after adding 54 runs with Shadman. Batting first after losing the toss, Bangladesh-A was all out for 252 runs in the first innings. India-A had declared the second innings on 562 runs. Captain Abhimanyu Easwaran had scored a century for him. Whereas Jayant Yadav scored 83, Shrikar Bharat 77, Saurabh Kumar 55, Cheteshwar Pujara 52 and Navdeep Sain scored 50 not out.
