Google's new TWS earbuds launched in India, battery will last up to 27 hours; know the price

Google Pixel Buds 2a have been launched in India alongside the Pixel 10 series smartphones and Pixel Watch 4. The truly wireless stereo (TWS) headset claims to offer up to 27 hours of battery life and includes a charging case. It supports Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), featuring Silent Seal 1.5, which adjusts the earbuds based on the shape of the user's ears for a comfortable fit. A similar feature was seen in the Pixel Buds Pro 2, now available in India and globally with new color options.

Google Pixel Buds 2a is priced at Rs 12,999 in India. It will be available in Hazel and Iris colors via Flipkart.

Meanwhile, Pixel Buds Pro 2 is now available in Moonstone at Rs 22,900. Previously, it was available in Hazel, Peony, Porcelain, and Wintergreen colors. It will also receive Adaptive Audio support through a software update.

The new Pixel Buds 2a features 11mm dynamic drivers and Google's Tensor A1 chip. It supports Adaptive ANC, which includes Transparency Mode and Silent Seal 1.5. The headset also offers active in-ear pressure relief.

In terms of connectivity, Pixel Buds 2a supports Bluetooth 5.4. It has dual microphones and wind-blocking mesh covers for clear calls. An IR proximity sensor enables in-ear detection. The wireless earbuds feature capacitive touch controls, and the magnetic charging case has a hall sensor for open and close detection, with a USB Type-C port.

Pixel Buds 2a offers up to 27 hours of battery life without ANC with the charging case. With ANC on, total playback time is up to 20 hours (including the case). Google states that the earbuds provide around 7 hours (with ANC on) and 10 hours (with ANC off) of playback on a single charge.

The Pixel Buds 2a carries an IP54 rating—dust and splash resistant—while the case has an IPX4 rating, making it splash resistant. Each earbud weighs 4.7 grams, and the total weight of the headset with the case is 47.6 grams.
