Gill Leads Confident India, Elects to Bowl in Series-Defining Test vs West Indies
India vs West Indies Test Series: After the toss, Gill said the pitch was good for batting, so his team would strive to post a good total. The second and final match of the two-match Test series between India and West Indies began today. In this match being played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, Indian captain Shubman Gill won the toss and elected to bowl first.
After the toss, Gill said the pitch was good for batting, so his team would strive to post a good total. He said that assuming the captaincy hasn't changed him much, but he believes it has placed additional responsibility on his shoulders. There is no change in the Indian team.
Meanwhile, West Indies captain Roston Chase said that he also wanted to bat first, and the team discussed playing 90 overs. Chase said his team has decided to remain positive. He said there are two changes to the team: Brandon King and Yohan Lynn are out, and Tevin Imlach and Anderson Phillip have been included in the squad.
