The Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono is set to hit the Indian market soon. The manufacturer teased the motorcycle on its social media accounts. The company has not yet announced its launch date. It is expected to cost around Rs ten lakh ex-showroom.

The Hypermotard 698 is known as the Superquadro Mono, and it is the most powerful single-cylinder engine. The 659 cc liquid-cooled engine produces 76.43 bhp at 9,750 rpm and 62.76 Nm at 8,000 rpm. Ducati also offers the A2 version of the engine for the global market, which produces less power and torque.

The transmission on duty is a 6-speed unit and Ducati says that the gear ratios have been derived from the experience gained with the Panigale V4. The first gear is now longer so that it can be used on slower turns, taking advantage of the maximum available thrust. The gearbox can be equipped with Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) Up & Down, which is essentially a quick shifter.

It gets riding aids like Ducati Wheelie Control, Ducati Traction Control, Engine Brake Control, and Ducati Power Launch. Apart from this, there are three power modes - Low, Mid, and High - along with riding modes like Sport, Road, Urban, and Wet.

The Hypermotard 698 Mono features 45mm Marzocchi upside-down forks, which are fully adjustable for suspension duties. At the rear, there is a fully adjustable Sachs mono-shock. Braking power is provided by 330mm diameter discs, with Brembo M4.32 4-piston radial calipers at the front and a 240mm disc at the rear.
