A report released about the deaths due to corona in China has increased the concerns of China. America's 'Institute of Health Matrix and Evaluation' (IHME) has estimated that by 2023 more than one million people will die due to corona in China. These projections have been made keeping in mind the situation after the lifting of COVID restrictions in China.
According to estimates, the peak of corona cases will occur in China in early April. By that time the number of deaths is expected to reach 3 lakh 22 thousand. According to IHME director Christopher Murray, by April one-third of China's population would have been infected with the coronavirus.
IHME used data from Omicron outbreaks in Chinese states and Hong Kong to make its estimates. China does not clearly state the number of deaths occurring here, so the figures for Hong Kong were taken. Apart from this, the vaccination rate was also taken into consideration.
However, many other experts believe that the peak of corona cases in China will come in January. 60 percent of the people there will be infected with Corona. Older people will be most affected in the peak.
According to the National Health Authority of China, there has not been a single death from Corona since the Kovid restrictions were lifted. Due to this, there has been a shortage of people and vehicles and chaos has spread. There is a three-day waiting period for a dead body to be cremated at the Huairou funeral center.

Chinese news outlet Caixin said on Friday that two senior journalists of state media died due to corona. Caixin has also talked about the death of a medical student from Corona on 14 December.
The strict restrictions were lifted after frequent protests in China. After this, a continuous increase in Covid cases is being seen. It is feared that Covid cases will increase further during the New Year holidays. However, China has stopped recording asymptomatic cases since Wednesday.
