England team will face PM 11, match will last for 2 days with pink ball

The Prime Minister XI will host England Men's XI in a two-day day-night match at Manuka Oval between 29-30 November, as per Cricket Australia. Australia and England teams are scheduled to play the first match of the five-match Ashes series in Perth between 21-25 November, followed by this match between Prime Minister XI and England Men's XI. Following this, England and Australia squads will contest the second Ashes game in Brisbane on 4 December. 

This year, the English squad is set to meet PM XI for the 11th time, which will be the first game to be contested using the pink Kookaburra ball. Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said, "This year, we welcome England XI to Manuka Oval in what will prove to be an exciting match before cricket's greatest rivalry. Every cricket fan eagerly awaits the Ashes series."

Anthony Albanese further said, "Like many people in Australia, I have also admired and sometimes envied the talent of players like Ian Botham, David Gower, and Graham Gooch. I am excited to meet the selectors to prepare a PM XI that can compete with the strong England team."

The five-match Ashes series between England and Australia will be played between 21 November and 8 January. The first Test will be played in Perth between 21-25 November, after which the two teams will play the next match in Brisbane between 4-8 December. The third Test between England and Australia will be played in Adelaide between 17-21 December, while Melbourne will host the fourth Test between 26-30 December. The fifth and final match of the series is to be played in Sydney from January 4-8. England have not won an Ashes series since 2015. The last series between the oldest cricket rivals was drawn 2-2.
