KYC means Know Your Customer. It contains our DOB, address and many other important information. This is ensured to avoid cybercrime, scams, and fraud.

At many places, we are asked for an Aadhaar number to verify it. Which involves risk, but now according to UIDAI, the e-KYC process can be completed without an Aadhaar number.

In this, an XML file is available from the organization issuing the Aadhaar number. Which can be used anywhere.

To generate Aadhaar in XML format, you have to follow some steps.

  1. First of all, open the link (https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/offline-ekyc) in any browser.
  2. Here the option to enter an Aadhaar number and virtual ID will appear. You will also be asked to fill in the security code.
  3. After doing this an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. After verifying which you will see the option to download the XML file. This one-time password will be sent to the M Aadhaar app.
  4. By following these steps, an XML file digitally signed by UIDAI will be downloaded. Which you will be able to use easily.
