Deal between Indigo, Delta, Air France-KLM and Virgin Atlantic, travel from India to Europe and America will become easier

One of the big airline companies of India, IndiGo, has made a big announcement today. IndiGo has made a new partnership with America's Delta Airlines, Europe's Air France-KLM, and Britain's Virgin Atlantic. The purpose of this partnership is to make air travel from India to Europe and North America i.e., America and Canada, better and easier. This announcement was made at a press conference in Delhi on Sunday, in which the CEOs of all four airlines were present. IndiGo CEO Peter Albers, Delta Airlines CEO Ed Bastian, Air France-KLM CEO Benjamin Smith, and Virgin Atlantic CEO Shai Weiss gave information about this new global partnership.

This partnership means that now it will be easier and more convenient to travel from India to many cities of America, Canada, and Europe. No,w passengers can get the facility to travel from any city of India to Europe or America with a single ticket. At the same time, dozens of cities will now be connected to each other by combining the networks of all four airlines. While passengers will have an easy time in transit and luggage transfer will also become easier. At the same time, efforts will be made to make ticket booking, check-in, and the flight experience uniform and better.

IndiGo is now expanding rapidly, not only on domestic flights but also on international flights. In the current financial year (by March 2026), IndiGo will start flights to 10 new foreign cities. Since 2022, IndiGo has been in partnership with Air France-KLM and Virgin Atlantic, but now America's Delta Airlines has also joined this partnership, which has increased its strength further. 

On this occasion, Delta Airlines CEO Ed Bastian stated that his airline is planning to resume flights to India. Delta is going to initiate non-stop flights from Atlanta, America, to Delhi, which is India's capital city. This, however, would need to be sanctioned by India's government. Delta Airlines had also operated flights to India earlier, but these services were closed for some years.

The main reason for this deal is India's rapidly growing aviation market. India has now joined the world's largest and fastest-growing civil aviation markets. The number of air passengers in the country is constantly increasing, whether it is a trip within the country or abroad. In view of this demand, the world's big airlines want to partner with India.

Now passengers will be able to book tickets for Europe and America from Indigo's website or app. At the same time, the same check-in, boarding, and luggage facilities will be available, even if there are flights of two or three airlines in the journey. Connecting time will be less, that is, it will be easy to catch the second flight.
