Cold Wave Begins in Rajasthan: Mercury Dips Sharply in Sikar, Dausa, and Nagaur
Rajasthan Weather: Cold is increasing in Rajasthan. Temperatures in Dausa dropped below 13°C. Cold also increased in Sikar, Nagaur, and Jaipur. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for thunderstorms, rain, and lightning in the Kota and Udaipur divisions on October 27-28.
Winter has now arrived in Rajasthan. After Sikar, night temperatures in Dausa have also dropped below 13°C. According to the Meteorological Department, minimum temperatures have dropped by 1 to 1.5 degrees Celsius in several districts, including Karauli, Jalore, Ganganagar, Barmer, Bhilwara, and Ajmer.
Over the past 24 hours, the weather throughout the state has been clear. The sun was bright during the day, but the cold has increased because of the dip in temperatures during nighttime. The lowest temperature was 13°C in Sikar, 13.7°C in Dausa, 14.4°C in Nagaur, and 19.2°C in Jaipur. Barmer saw the highest maximum temperature at 37.6°C, Jaisalmer saw 36.5°C, and Bikaner saw 35.5°C.
Radheshyam Sharma, Director of the Meteorological Center, Jaipur, stated that a depression system currently exists in the Arabian Sea and a low-pressure system in the southeastern Bay of Bengal. Additionally, a new western disturbance is expected to become active in northwestern India from October 26-27.
Due to the combined effect of these three systems, light to moderate rain accompanied by thundershowers is expected in the districts of Udaipur and Kota divisions between October 26 and 28. The maximum impact will be on October 27 and 28, when lightning and light rain will occur in some areas.

The Meteorological Department has advised farmers to be cautious while harvesting and storing crops in view of the expected rainfall. Furthermore, due to the drop in temperatures, precautions have been taken to protect themselves from the cold during the morning and night.
Ajmer recorded a maximum of 32.8°C and a minimum of 15.4°C, Bhilwara 31.6°C and 16°C, Alwar 33.5°C and 15.4°C, Jaipur 31.8°C and 19.2°C, and Nagaur 30.4°C and 15.5°C. Sikar recorded the lowest night temperature of 13°C, exacerbating the cold. Udaipur recorded a maximum of 35.2°C and a minimum of 18.2°C, Phalodi 34.8°C and 20.2°C, Bikaner 35.5°C and 21°C, while Sriganganagar recorded 34.4°C and 17.7°C. Jaisalmer recorded a maximum of 36.5°C, Barmer 37.6°C, and Chittorgarh 34.6°C. According to weather experts, night temperatures are likely to drop further in the coming days, while the daytime weather will remain generally dry.
