ChatGPT big update: Now ChatGPT will record meetings and read Google Drive

OpenAI has added numerous significant and valuable features to its AI tool, ChatGPT, making it more useful than ever for business users. This tool can record meetings, extract important information from cloud storage services like Google Drive and Dropbox, and also assist in in-depth research.

Under the new update, ChatGPT can now connect to platforms like Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, OneDrive, and SharePoint. This means that users can easily search their documents, presentations, and files and get information related to them from AI. The most important thing is that ChatGPT will only be able to access those files whose permission has been given by the user. This will maintain the security of the data.

The most talked-about feature is meeting recording and transcription. Now, ChatGPT can record meetings, create notes with time-stamps, and convert action items into OpenAI's Canvas document.

Apart from this, this tool can now do deep research by taking data from HubSpot, Linear, and some Microsoft and Google services. This will make it very easy for users to prepare research reports.

OpenAI said that Workspace admins can now also create custom connectors with the help of Model Context Protocol (MCP). Through MCP, the team can connect their own applications and internal systems to ChatGPT, so that AI can collect information from both web and internal sources.
