GST collections rose 4.6% year-on-year. Total GST collections in October this calendar year stood at about ₹1.95 lakh crore, against ₹1.87 lakh crore recorded in the same month the previous year, according to official data.
According to the data, Central GST (CGST), State GST (SGST), and Integrated GST (IGST) all recorded growth in October, while cess collections declined.
Total GST collections in the first seven months-in April-October of the financial year 2025-26, recorded a 9% increase. This is the highest since the implementation of GST in 2017.
