Toyota Kirloskar Motor Testing 7-Seater Version of Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder

The vehicle that was spotted during testing was fully camouflaged. However, it is possible that its look might be similar to that of the five-seater version, with three rows of seats instead of two. This might limit its boot space.

The company will launch this SUV with seven seats, but the engine will remain the same. The engine of the SUV will be the same as the 5-seater version of the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyrider, which will come with a 1.5-liter engine and deliver 92.45 PS of power along with 122 to 136 Nm of torque. The SUV will come with a manual or automatic transmission.

The manufacturer is expected to offer several impressive features in the seven-seat version of this SUV. It could also include projector LED lights, LED DRLs, auto headlights, LED tail lamps, high-mount stop lamps, roof rails, rear window wiper and washer, shark fin antenna, dual-tone interior, ambient lights, a nine-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an Arkimis audio system, a seven-inch instrument cluster, a head-up display, cruise control, a panoramic sunroof, a wireless charger, auto AC, rear AC vents, front ventilated seats, a PM 2.5 filter, and keyless entry.

Toyota is currently testing this SUV. No formal information regarding its launch has been provided. However, it is expected to be introduced in India by the end of 2026.

The manufacturer offers the Hyrider in the mid-size SUV segment. Currently, it's offered with five seats. However, a new seven-seat version will also be offered in the same segment. It will then compete with the Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, and Kia Carnival.
