On behalf of Sabrang Sanstha, in memory of musician Pandit Gokul Chand Rao, the 40th All India Music and Honor Ceremony was organized in the auditorium of Pinkcity Press Club. Organization Secretary Pt. Rajendra Rao said that young singer Raghavi Mewal started the program with solo singing. He performed a bandish in Raga Yaman followed by the famous bhajan Janaki Nath Sahay Kare Kaun Bigaad Kare Nar Tero.
Raghavi was accompanied by Dinesh Khingi on tabla. After this, child youth tabla player Vedant Sharma presented his solo tabla recital Main Taal, Teen Taal, Delhi Ajrada Gharana. Then Peshkar, Raila, Tukde, and Chakkar Dar spread the magic of his fingers on the request in such a way that the audience stood up with applause. He was accompanied by Pt Ramesh Mewal on Harmonium and Pt Harihar Sharan Bhatt on Sitar. After this, artist Prateek Singh, who came from Mumbai, left his mark on the people by presenting Peshkar, Paran, Chakkar Dar Raila, Tihai etc. in his solo tabla playing and in the end, young Kathak artists Yuvraj Singh Rathod and Atulit Bareth presented their Kathak dance. I registered my presence by presenting the Kathak of Jaipur Gharana with a beautiful presentation of Thaat, Aamd, Paran, special bandishes of Jaipur Gharana etc. Both these artists gave their presentations under the direction of Pt Kaushal Kant, disciple and son of Kathak Guru Girdhari Maharaj. At the beginning of the program, Housing Board President Pawan Arora, Educationist LC Bharti, Journalist Satya Pareek, Additional Director Arun Joshi, Institution President Anil Tiwari, Program Coordinator Ashok Sharma and Pandit Bhanwarlal Rao inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. Artists and journalists were honoured with shawls, mementoes and quinces in the programme. The program was conducted by Dr. Surabhi and the organization's president Anil Tiwari expressed gratitude to everyone.
