MS Dhoni is back in the news as Jharkhand State Housing Board has sent him a notice for allegedly misusing a residential plot in Ranchi. This time, the controversy is related to speeding. His car was caught violating traffic rules in Ranchi. This incident occurred a few days before he was supposed to leave for Chennai to attend the Chennai Super Kings preparation camp for IPL 2026.

According to a report in India Today, Ranchi's traffic monitoring system recorded a video of a traffic violation near his home. Following this, Dhoni was issued an e-challan under Section 183 of the Motor Vehicles Act. The automated system detected the vehicle exceeding the prescribed speed limit. Although this is a minor offense of one thousand rupees, incidents involving Dhoni attract public attention.

This incident occurred shortly after Dhoni received a notice from the Jharkhand State Housing Board regarding the alleged misuse of a residential plot in Ranchi. The notice stated that his property, an old house on Harmu Road, was allotted solely for residential purposes but was allegedly being used for commercial activities.

According to the report, Housing Board Chairman Sanjay Lal Paswan stated that the Jharkhand State Housing Board had allotted a residential plot to cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni, but it was discovered that it was being used for commercial purposes. We have issued him a notice for violating rules.

It should be noted that the CEO of Chennai Super Kings confirmed last month that Dhoni will be a part of the IPL 2026 season. However, it is not yet clear how many matches he will play in the league.
