ACB seized over 8 lakh cash from bank manager in Rajasthan

Rajasthan's ACB recovered unaccounted cash of Rs 8.50 lakh from a bank manager. A team of Rajasthan's Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) recovered unaccounted cash of Rs 8.50 lakh from the Chief Manager of Central Cooperative Bank Limited, officials gave this information. He said that Chief Manager Sanjay Sharma is being questioned.

Secret information was received that Sharma was going from the Nohar-Rawatsar area to Hanumangarh with a bribe in lieu of approving a warehouse in the food storage scheme. ACB Director General (DG) Ravi Prakash Meharda said that an ACB team stopped him at Kohala toll plaza during checking on Friday night and recovered unaccounted cash worth Rs 8.50 lakh from him.

He failed to provide a satisfactory explanation of the source of the cash and it was seized. Further action will follow, the bureau official added.
