Two constables have been arrested in Delhi for kidnapping a sales tax agent and demanding a ransom of Rs 1.5 lakh from him. Another arrest has also been made in the case. At the same time, a constable and a miscreant are said to be absconding. The arrested accused have been identified as constables Sandeep, Robin and another Wahid. At the same time, constable Amit and a crook Gaurav alias Anna are absconding. The agent has lodged a complaint at the GTB Enclave police station. Police have started investigating the matter.
The case dates back to October 11, when three policemen and two others first assaulted the agent in the Seemapuri police station area of ​​Shahdara, then threatened to implicate him in a false case. He was released after taking a ransom of 1.5 lakhs.
According to media reports, the agent works as a sales agent in the Income Tax Office. He was returning home by car from ITO on the night of 11 October. A white car stopped them near the Shahdara flyover. There were three people in the car. After getting down from the car, one pointed a pistol at him and took out 35 thousand rupees kept in his pocket. In protesting everyone started assaulting the agent.
The accused demanded five lakhs to release him and threatened to put him in jail if he did not pay. According to the agent, after talking to an officer there, the accused again put her in the car and took her to the office of the Special Staff, Shahdara. A police officer asked them to lock it up.
After that, the accused constable took the agent to the service lane of GTB hospital on the pretext of conducting a medical test. There he threatened the agent to give him money. After which the agent took the constable to his house and gave another 50 thousand rupees. He also transferred 70 thousand rupees to the account of the wife of a crook named Gaurav by taking a loan from a friend. The victim was later released.
Initial investigation revealed that this entire conspiracy was hatched by Constable Amit posted in the 6th Battalion. The accused carried out this incident along with Gaurav. Wahid's car was used for this.
