25 people have been detained in Germany on charges of plotting a terrorist plot for the coup. On Wednesday morning, about 3 thousand police personnel conducted a search operation in 11 out of 16 states of Germany. In this, people associated with the banned terrorist organization 'Reichenberger' were arrested.
Those held on charges of terror conspiracy also include a 72-year-old retired military commander and a former MP from a right-wing party. The prosecutor said that the 25 people arrested in this case had a firm intention to forcibly enter the Parliament with weapons. Of these, 22 people are citizens of Germany. One of the remaining 3 people is also a Russian woman who was supporting these people.
According to the local media of Germany, among the places where the search operation was conducted, there are also barracks of Germany's special force KSK. Some of the soldiers of this unit had been interrogated earlier also for their association with extreme right-wing organizations. According to the report of Aljazeera, this group had dangerous weapons.
According to German media, the leader of the entire group is Heinrich, 71, who is a descendant of the royal family of East Germany. Along with this, Rudger von P, senior field officer of the paratrooper battalion of Germany, is also being told as his accomplice.
Rudger P. Vaughn and Heinrich had formed their organization the previous year. Its goal was to topple the existing government of Germany and form its own government. Members of this group had also started selecting ministers for the post-coup government. For this, 58-year-old former MP Birgit Malsack was elected Law Minister. All those captured believed that their country was being run by a government that was anti-German.
A woman caught in the failed coup plot is said to be Russian. It is believed that she was trying to get the organization's help from Russia. It is not yet known who in Russia was contacted on behalf of this organization. However, Russia has refused to know about any such case. The Russian spokesman said that this is an internal matter of Germany.
