13 children die in Odisha government hospital: Deaths occurred within 18 days

In Odisha, a case of death of 13 children has come to light in a government hospital in 18 days. The matter is in the Keonjhar district of the state, where the relatives of the deceased children created a ruckus against the hospital administration. The family alleges that the children died due to the negligence of the doctors and nurses.
According to the families of the victims, oxygen was not given to the children in the hospital at the right time, due to which many children died. After this, the relatives started vandalizing the hospital, after which senior police and health officials started pacifying the people.
At the same time, now Odisha Health and Family Welfare Minister NK Das have sought a report from the Keonjhar administration on this matter. Terming it an unfortunate incident, the minister said that an inquiry has been ordered into how the children died. He said- I have asked the officials of Keonjhar district to find out the reasons behind the incident.
Mithun Nayak alleged that my younger brother's son was admitted to the hospital. He died due to the negligence of the doctors and nurses. The victim's family alleges that the child was admitted to the ICU and died due to the non-availability of oxygen on time. Doctors and nurses should always be available in case of emergency, but they were not present on Saturday night. Relatives say that the doctors did not visit the Special Newborn Care Unit (SNCU), where the critically ill children were being treated and due to this the children died.
