WPL 2026: Mumbai, Delhi, RCB Finalise 16-Member Squads; Giants, Warriors Pick 18 Each

Thursday saw the auction for the Women's Premier League 2026 take place in Delhi, with all five franchises spending ₹40.8 crore and purchasing 67 players, including 23 foreign players. The full squads of all five franchises have been disclosed following the end of the auction. Following this auction, Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, and Royal Challengers Bangalore will have 16 players each in their squads, while Gujarat Giants and UP Warriors will have 18 players each. Delhi and Mumbai retained the maximum number of players ahead of the auction, retaining five each. RCB retained four, Gujarat two, and Uttar Pradesh just one.

Royal Challengers Bangalore's full squad: Smriti Mandhana, Richa Ghosh, Shreyanka Patil, Ellyse Perry, Georgia Voll, Nadine de Klerk, Radha Yadav, Lauren Bell, Linsey Smith, Prema Rawat, Arundhati Reddy, Pooja Vastrakar, Grace Harris, Gautami Naik, Pratyusha Kumar, and Dayalan Hemalatha.

UP Warriors' full squad: Shweta Sehrawat, Deepti Sharma, Sophie Ecclestone, Meg Lanning, Phoebe Litchfield, Kiran Navgire, Harleen Deol, Kranti God, Asha Sobhna, Deandra Dottin, Shikha Pandey, Shipra Giri, Simran Shaikh, Chloe Tryon, Tara Norris, Suman Meena, G Trisha, and Pratika Rawal.

The Women's Premier League 2026 will begin on January 9th. The BCCI announced the dates before the auction began. The final match of the fourth edition of the league will be played in Vadodara on February 5th. This time, matches will be played at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai and the BCA Stadium in Vadodara. Mumbai Indians have won the title twice, while RCB won the title in 2024 under the captaincy of Smriti Mandhana.
