Williamson, Conway, Allen, Ferguson, Seifert to Feature in NZ Squad for 2026 T20 World Cup
Five star players including Finn Allen, Devon Conway and Kane Williamson have agreed terms to play on New Zealand Cricket's International Contingent Sports Agreements for the 2025-26 season in view of the upcoming T20 World Cup.

New Zealand limited-overs stars Finn Allen, Tim Seifert, Devon Conway, Lockie Ferguson, and Kane Williamson have agreed terms to play on New Zealand Cricket's International Contingent Sports Agreements for the 2025-26 season. Now, they will be seen playing for New Zealand in the 2026 T20 World Cup to be held in India and Sri Lanka, and in certain series and matches before the tournament. All of them will be available for selection in the upcoming T20I series against Australia, England, and West Indies, although Williamson has declared himself unavailable for the Australian series.
During the casual contract, these five players will get the benefit of all the services that those on full-time contracts get. New Zealand Cricket CEO Scott Weenink said that it is important to contract these stars in view of the next season of the T20 World Cup to be held in less than six months.
He said that in view of such a big event, we wanted to ensure that our best T20 players are ready and available to join the team. These informal agreements are a commitment from the players to New Zealand and the Black Caps, and in return, NZC will give its full support to these players under its high-performance system.
New Zealand coach Rob Walter and the team have a long round of cricket ahead of them on home and foreign grounds and I know that I and all our fans are eager to see and support it.
