Rohit Sharma is currently the third player to have the most sixes against a particular team in the IPL. He became the Indian batter with the most sixes against a team in the history of IPL. Rohit Sharma struck a six while scoring 35 runs against Delhi. His total tally of sixes against Delhi is 51, which beats the record of MS Dhoni, who has 50 sixes against RCB. Chris Gayle tops the list with 61 sixes against Punjab Kings.

After losing the toss and opting to bat first, Mumbai Indians had a poor start. Ryan Rickelton failed to perform well with the bat, scoring just 9 runs off 11 balls. Tilak Verma, batting at number three, was dismissed by Mukesh Kumar without scoring a single run. However, Suryakumar Yadav, captaining the side in Hardik Pandya's absence, added 53 runs for the third wicket with Rohit Sharma. Rohit made 35 off 26 balls, hitting five fours and a six before being dismissed. Suryakumar Yadav, meanwhile, scored 51 off 36 balls at a strike rate of 141.

In reply, Delhi Capitals achieved the target in 18.1 overs for the loss of four wickets. Rizvi once again batted explosively, scoring 90 runs off 51 balls with the help of seven fours and four sixes. He just missed out on his first IPL century.
