Rajasthan Likely to Increase DLC Rates Again, Property Registration May Get Costlier
Jaipur: Preparations are underway to increase the DLC rates for land, flats, and houses in Rajasthan. The Finance Department has directed district collectors to review market rates and submit proposals for the new rates. Registration costs may increase if the new rates are implemented.

The DLC (District Level Committee) rates of agriculture, residence, and commercial lands in Rajasthan may increase once again. With the approval of the increased DLC rates, the registration charges for lands, flats, and houses throughout the state will be hiked.
In April 2020, the rate was increased by 10 percent of all lands in the state. At present, the Finance Department of Rajasthan is reviewing the rates. The Finance Department secretary, Kumar Pal Gautam, has requested all district collectors to meet for a DLC committee meeting and reassess the rates.
Actually, the current DLC rates are applicable for the year 2024. Due to the DLC committees not meeting in 2025, the government simply increased the old rates by 10% and implemented them. Now, the department believes that in many areas, the actual market prices of land have significantly exceeded the DLC rates.
