X CEO Linda Yaccarino confirmed that video chat is coming to the platform. Linda said in an interview that soon you will be able to make video chat calls without giving your phone number to anyone on the platform. The move reflects Yaccarino and Musk's mission to make X an 'everything app' that includes long-term paid video and creator subscriptions.
Soon after taking over X, Elon Musk announced that he wanted the platform to be an 'Everything App'. In line with that approach, the company has come up with a host of features, including the ability to read/post long texts and watch hour-long videos. The company is now adding another feature video calls.
Talking about other features like creator subscriptions and payments, the company's CEO Linda Yaccarino during an interview with the media said that soon you will be able to make video chat calls without giving your phone number to anyone on the platform.
His confirmation comes a day after X designer Andrea Conway posted. Just called someone on X, followed by the head exploding emoji. At the time, it was not clear to which she was referring: the voice call or the video call, or both.
