Users had trouble using payment apps that used the Unified Payment Interface (UPI) to make payments on Tuesday night. Numerous users have expressed dissatisfaction on social media regarding issues with UPI payments on various payment apps, such as Paytm, Phone Pay, and Google Pay. Consumers who had issues with UPI payments included those from various banks. As per the report, customers of various other banks, such as SBI, HDFC Bank, Bank of Maharashtra, Bank of Baroda, and Kotak Mahindra Bank, experienced this issue.

Users did, however, only experience issues for a short while. Afterwards, UPI declared that the payment issues had been fixed following system enhancements. UPI payments were impacted on Tuesday night, according to the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), because of issues with certain banks' systems. Customers complained of difficulty in transferring funds during this period.

NPCI, in its post on social media, said, regrets the inconvenience caused by UPI connectivity. There are internal technical problems in the systems of some banks. However, NPCI did not name the banks whose customers were affected. HDFC Bank, the largest private sector bank, admitted that its customers were also among those affected. At the same time, a website monitoring service matters said that along with UPI, other banks including SBI, and Kotak Mahindra were also affected.
