"They are from such a team..." without naming Hardik Pandya, veteran spinner lashed out, gave example of MS Dhoni

Captain Hardik Pandya is being criticized after the defeat in the T20 series against the West Indies. After losing the series after 17 years, Hardik Pandya said that ultimately, a series here or there doesn't matter, but commitment towards the goal is important. He also said that there is a long way for the T20 World Cup to be held in the West Indies and the US and that too much should not be read into this series' defeat.

Now Ravichandran Ashwin does not agree with Hardik's statement. "I don't think it's too early (to talk about T20 World Cup)," he said on his YouTube channel. Ashwin admitted that the series loss to the West Indies was disappointing, but added that it might be difficult for youngsters to tour the Caribbean islands.

Ashwin said, "There are a lot of positives from this T20I series. It is very easy to criticize the team on social media because they lost to a team that did not qualify for the last T20 World Cup. And they are looking forward to the upcoming ODIs." Have not qualified for the World Cup. I am not talking about anyone, not endorsing anyone. As a youngster, if you are going to the West Indies, there will be some challenges. Local players are aware of these things and know the visiting players more than the players, especially if the players are young.
