Specifications of 2024 Royal Enfield Himalayan revealed, this tech-loaded bike will change so much from before

Royal Enfield has announced the specifications of the much-awaited motorcycle Himalayan 452. The 2024 Royal Enfield Himalayan is all-new and will replace the Himalayan 410 that is currently on sale. This adventure bike now features an all-new frame, a larger capacity motor, and a lot of new technical updates.

The new generation Royal Enfield Himalayan is also larger in proportions than its predecessor. The bike measures 2,245 mm in length, 852 mm in width, and 1,316 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 1,510 mm. It has a circular fuel tank with a round LED headlamp. Also, it has been given a split seat for rider and pillion.

The new Himalayan now uses a twin-spar frame with a rear subframe using the engine as a stressed member. The airbox has been moved up, just below the fuel tank shell, allowing more air intake and better draining capacity, while the fuel tank has been moved under the seat and has a capacity of 17 liters. The weight of the entire bike is 196 kg, which is 3 kg less than before.

It has been given a 452 cc single-cylinder engine, which provides power of 39 bhp at 8000 rpm and peak torque of 40 Nm at 5,500 rpm. This powertrain is paired with a 6-speed gearbox with slip-and-assist clutch. The new Himalayan also gets an 825 mm long stock seat, which can be extended up to 845 mm. The company will also sell you a low seat height of 805 mm as an accessory.

Talking about technology, the new Himalayan now has a 4-inch TFT screen which includes navigation and music connectivity via smartphone. The units get different displays, while the layout can be personalized. It also has an anti-glare screen to make it easily readable. The bike rides on a 21-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheel setup along with a 140-section wide rear tyre.
