Sensex up over 800 points
The stock market is witnessing a rise today on the fifth and last trading day of the week, i.e. Friday (August 16). Sensex is trading at 79,906 level with a gain of over 800 points. At the same time, Nifty is also up by about 250 points. It is trading at 24,387 level.

Rise in Asian markets: Japan's stock market rose 2.92%
The Asian market is witnessing a rise today. Japan's Nikkei is up 2.92%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng is up 1.73% and China's Shanghai Composite is up 0.092%. Korea's Kospi is also seeing a rise of 1.79%. On Wednesday, the Dow Jones of the US market closed at 40,563, up 1.39%. Nasdaq also rose 2.34%, closing at 17,594. S&P500 closed at 5,543 points, up 1.61%.
