Samsung launches its budget phone, offering 6 years of Android updates
Samsung has launched its new budget smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy A17 4G, in Germany. The phone features a 6.7-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset. It comes with an IP54 rating, a 5000mAh battery, and 6 years of Android and security updates. The camera features a 50MP sensor with OIS support. Its 5G version arrived in India in August.
The A17 4G has been launched in Germany. This is the company's newest budget smartphone release. The new 4G device boasts a 6.7-inch 90Hz refresh rate display and is powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 chip. Galaxy A17 4G comes with an IP54-rated build, dust and water resistance, and packs a 5,000mAh battery. The firm has assured that it will get six Android updates and security updates for six years. The 5G model of Galaxy A17 debuted in India in August with the Exynos 1330 chipset.
Samsung's official German website does not provide pricing or availability information for the new Samsung Galaxy A17 4G. E-commerce website Gadgetsleo has listed the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant of this phone for KSH 22,400 (approximately Rs. 15,000).
The Samsung Galaxy A17 5G was launched in India in August with a starting price of Rs. 18,999 for the base model with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The top-end 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model costs Rs. 23,499.
