Rajasthan: At the Pravasi Rajasthani Meet held in Hyderabad, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma called on the diaspora community to be a part of Rajasthan's development journey. He announced that the state government will soon launch the Pravasi Rajasthani Policy 2025 and a special department.

At the Pravasi Rajasthani Meet held in Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana, on Friday, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma called on the diaspora Rajasthani community to be a part of the state's development journey. He said, “Rajasthanis don't wait for change; we bring change, and with this vision, the government is moving forward towards a developed Rajasthan.”

The Chief Minister declared that the state government is setting up a special department and the Overseas Rajasthani Policy 2025 to cater to the interests of the expatriate Rajasthani community. The policy will extend preferable facilities, opportunities, and support to overseas investors. He explained that the overseas Rajasthanis' skills and resources will be used proactively in sectors like education, health, and tourism.

The Chief Minister said the Rajasthan Foundation has been consolidated in the last two and a half years. During one year, 14 new chapters were inaugurated and 12 dormant chapters were revived. The chapters of the Foundation are functional in New York, London, and Riyadh, empowering the expatriate community to join hands in Rajasthan's development.

The Chief Minister said that Rajasthan is rapidly progressing in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of "Developed India 2047." By embracing innovation, the state is at the forefront of the country's development journey. He described this as a vision of "functional development" with good governance. He explained the process that will lay the foundation for a developed Rajasthan in the future.

Senior officials from top IT and industrial companies such as Microsoft, Google, Cognizant, TCS, Genpact, Infosys, Cyient, Hitachi Vantara Corp., and Dr. Reddy's Laboratories attended the event and discussed investment and collaboration with the Chief Minister.

Senior Rajasthan government officials, Minister of State for Industry and Commerce K.K. Vishnoi, National President of All India Marwari Yuva Manch Suresh M. Jain, Hyderabad Chapter President Pawan Bansal, and former CII Telangana Chairman Sai D. Prasad, along with more than 300 expatriate Rajasthanis, were present on the occasion. Several expatriate Rajasthanis who have contributed to the social sector were also honored.

The event showcased the state's development story and the role of expatriate Rajasthanis through audio-visual presentations. The Chief Minister announced that the first Pravasi Rajasthani Diwas will be held in Jaipur on December 10, 2025, honoring expatriate Rajasthanis who have made outstanding contributions in the fields of art, culture, science, business, and social service. He highlighted the confluence of tradition and innovation by mentioning initiatives such as the Makar Sankranti festival, the International Diaspora Dialogue, and the live streaming of Teej-Gangaur. Concluding his address, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma appealed for the active role of the diaspora in areas such as investment, education, health, rural development, and women's empowerment, and called for their cooperation in building a bright and prosperous future for Rajasthan.
