According to the information, the sleeper coach private bus was going from Mandsaur to Khatu Shyam late Saturday night. Most of the passengers sitting on the bus were in deep sleep. Meanwhile, while trying to save a pedestrian who came in front of the bus near Khedi toll plaza on National Highway 48, the driver lost control of the vehicle, and the bus overturned. The person who was being saved by the bus also got hit by the bus while trying to save him and died on the spot.
In the accident, 15 people traveling in the bus were seriously injured. They were admitted to the local community hospital. Seeing the serious condition of three women among the injured, Ritu, a resident of Khargone (MP), and Ranu and Devi, residents of Mandsaur, were referred to Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital in Ajmer. Devi (70) wife of Sadhuram resident of Mandsaur died during treatment. A case has been registered at Bhinay police station and an investigation has been initiated.
