Rajasthan News: Massive fire broke out in a hospital in Jhalawar due to short circuit, 50 patients evacuated safely from ICU
Rajasthan News: A major accident occurred in a government hospital in Jhalawar this morning due to a short circuit. A fire broke out in the hospital and spread so fast that it went out of control. However, all the patients have been safely evacuated from the hospital.

A major accident was prevented in Shri Rajendra Sarvajanik Hospital at Jhalawar on Monday morning. There was a horrific fire in the hospital because of a short circuit. It originated from the makeshift ICU constructed over the emergency ward. The fire got so out of control that even a stampede took place in the entire hospital while at the same time patients admitted in the ICU were evacuated at once.
Giving information about the sudden fire incident in the fabricated ICU, the head constable posted at the hospital police post said that suddenly flames and smoke were seen rising from the fabricated ICU built right above the post. The ward was filled with smoke in no time, causing panic among the patients admitted there. The hospital took immediate action before the fire spread and evacuated about 50 patients admitted to the ICU safely from the ward. The fire brigade was immediately informed about the incident, and fire engines reached the spot. Although the fire was controlled, by then the hospital building had suffered a lot of damage.
Now the critical patients are being shifted to other wards. It is a matter of relief that no patient or person has suffered any harm. At present, the cause of the fire is being investigated, but primarily a short circuit is being considered the reason for this.
