The fifth and final match of the T20 series between India and Australia was called off owing to rain in Brisbane. Team India had scored 52 runs in 4.5 overs, after which the match had to be stopped as rain continued. After a very long wait, the match could not be started, and this was for the second time in this series; even the first match of the series was not completed. Now, as the series is finished, Team India has won it 2-1, and Suryakumar Yadav has maintained his winning streak under his captaincy. During the post-match presentation, he said something about the pairing of Arshdeep Singh and Bumrah that must have brought a sigh of relief to the fans.

The Indian team captain spoke about the best bowling combination after the series. He said, "The way everyone contributed and the way we came back from a 0-1 deficit deserves credit for all the players. Considering the performance of every department, it was a good series. The fast bowlers and spinners know their job well. Bumrah and Arshdeep are a lethal pair. Then, Axar and Varun are doing what they do best. Many players are performing really well. Playing against Australia, South Africa, and New Zealand will be excellent preparation for the World Cup."

He further added, "I recently saw the women's team win the World Cup in India, and they received incredible support. When you play at home, there's obviously a lot of pressure, but there's also a lot of excitement and responsibility. When you're playing at home, we'll get tremendous support from everyone in India, wherever we play. It will be a good challenge and an exciting tournament, but it's still a long way off. Two important series remain. There's a lot to look forward to during this time. I'm sure the upcoming World Cup will be an exciting one."

The Indian team now has to play a five-match T20 series against South Africa, and ahead of the T20 World Cup, Surya has made it clear that the pair of Arshdeep Singh and Jasprit Bumrah will lead the team's bowling attack in the upcoming big matches.
