Prices of Hyundai Tucson, Venue and Verna increased by up to Rs 48,000, see new price list

Hyundai Motor has increased the prices of its flagship SUV cars Venue and Tucson. Along with these, the company has also made its popular sedan Verna costlier. All these three models have been launched in the last year.

As per the latest hike, the price of these models has increased by up to Rs 48,000. The new-generation Hyundai Verna is the latest model launched by the Korean carmaker in India earlier this year, while the new Tucson and Venue SUVs were launched in 2022. According to the official website of Hyundai Motor in India, the Tucson SUV has got the biggest price hike. Its petrol variant has seen an increase of around Rs 42,000. At the same time, the price of the diesel variant has increased by Rs 47,900. Hyundai Motor launched it in August last year at a starting price of Rs 27.69 lakh.

The starting price for the entry-level Nu 2.0 petrol 6-speed automatic Platinum AT variant has now been revised to Rs 29.01 lakh (ex-showroom). The Signature AT AWD variant, which is the top-spec Tucson available for sale in India, was launched at a price of Rs 34.39 lakh. Now its price will be Rs 35.94 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Hyundai Verna sedan was launched in India in March this year at a starting price of Rs 10.89 lakh. There has also been a slight increase in its price. The entry-level EX manual variant with the 1.5-litre engine now starts at Rs 10.96 lakh, an increase of over Rs 6,000. These hikes have been applied to the EX variant of the model. However, the price of the top-end SX(O) variant with DCT and turbo petrol engine, which was launched at Rs 17.37 lakh, remains the same.

The Hyundai Venue competes with other cars like Maruti Suzuki Brezza and Tata Nexon in the sub-compact SUV segment. It was launched in June last year at a starting price of Rs 7.53 lakh (ex-showroom). The entry-level E variant of this SUV has seen a price hike of a little over Rs 5,000. The variant, which is offered with the 1.2-liter Kappa petrol engine mated to a five-speed manual gearbox, will now cost Rs 7.77 lakh (ex-showroom).
