Shivganj police in the Sirohi district arrested two wanted suspects and revealed the theft that took place at the Gopeshwar Mahadev temple in Badgaon about two and a half months ago. Additionally, stolen items have been found on the accused.

According to the police, a special campaign is being run to prevent property-related crimes in the district. Under this campaign, the team led by Shivganj police station officer Babulal Rana took action in the areas of Kharafali, Basantgarh, and Police Station Pindwara. The team has arrested Mahendrakumar son of Devaram Nath Kalbelia, resident of district Pali, and Praveenkumar alias Kirankumar son of Lalaram Kalbelia, resident of district Pali. The stolen items have also been seized from these accused. Earlier, the police had arrested Premnath son of Dhalnath Nath Kalbelia, and Pappunath son of Popatnath Nath Kalbelia, a resident of district Pali.

The police said that a report was lodged by Devisingh's son, Takhatsingh Rajput, a resident of Badgaon Police Station Shivganj, on September 26, 2024. It was told that on September 25 at 1:05 pm, 5 thieves stole tridents, donation boxes, bells, and other copper and brass items used in worship at Gopeshwar Mahadev Temple Badgaon. The entire incident of theft was captured in the CCTV camera installed there. Gopeshwar Mahadev Temple is an ancient Shiva temple and a center of religious faith. Thievery of such an incident in broad daylight shows the thieves' fear of no showMessage at all. Based on the footage, immediate action was taken, and a demand was raised to the arrest of thieves soon, as thefts in the temple occurred several times before, which has not been revealed to date.
