Actor Ranveer Singh is now seen in trouble in the nude photoshoot case. After the FIR, now Public Interest Litigation (PIL) has been filed against Ranveer Singh in the Calcutta High Court. In which an appeal has been made to the court that all the printed copies of 'Paper Magazine' containing Ranveer's nude photoshoot should be ordered to be seized.
While filing a PIL against Ranveer Singh in the Calcutta High Court, the petitioner has requested the court to direct the West Bengal Government and all the authorities related to the matter to seize all the printed copies of the paper magazine containing Ranveer Singh's photoshoot published on 23 July. order. Along with this, the petition has also sought to block the website of International Magazine within the state of West Bengal.
Advocate Nazia Elahi Khan has got this petition against Ranveer. In the petition, Nazia called the photos of these actors obscene on the basis of the opinion of a large section of the public. Apart from this, it has also been claimed in the petition that Ranveer's photoshoot in West Bengal pushes the mind of the public at large in the wrong direction, especially for minors.
Earlier, a complaint was filed against Ranveer Singh by an NGO officer Lalit Shyam at Chembur police station in Mumbai. It has been alleged that Ranveer has hurt the sentiments of women by sharing nude photos on social media. After the complaint, the Mumbai Police registered an FIR. The actor shared some of his nude pictures on social media. He got this photoshoot done for Paper magazine.
The complainant had said that the actor has hurt and insulted the sentiments of women with his nude photos. That's why his photo should be removed from Twitter and Instagram. The complainant said that Ranveer should be arrested. A case was registered against him under sections 509, 292, 294 of the IPC, section 67A of the IT Act. The NGO's lawyer said that under section 292 of the IPC, there is a provision of imprisonment for 5 years and under section 293 for 3 years. At the same time, under the IT Act 67A, there can be a punishment of 5 years.
Ranveer was trolled fiercely for the photoshoot. Many types of memes also went viral. However, many celebs including wife Deepika Padukone, Ram Gopal Varma, Arjun Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Masaba Gupta supported Ranveer on this photoshoot.
Regarding the photo shoot, Ranveer had said in an interview, 'It is very easy for me to be physically naked. I have been naked in some of my performances. You can see my soul in them. How naked is she? I can take off all my clothes in front of thousands of people. I don't mind, but the people present there will be a little uncomfortable.
Talking about Ranveer's upcoming projects, he will soon be seen in director Rohit Shetty's film 'Circus' alongside Jacqueline Fernandez and Pooja Hegde. The film will release on the occasion of Christmas this year. Besides this, Ranveer will be seen in 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani' with Alia Bhatt. The film also stars Shabana Azmi, Jaya Bachchan and Dharmendra in lead roles.
