PayPal World: Now Indian users will be able to pay on foreign e-commerce sites using UPI
UPI: Indian users will now be able to use UPI to pay on international online stores. You can easily use UPI through PayPal to make cross-border digital payments.

Indian customers are now able to make cross-border payments conveniently using UPI through PayPal. Payments company PayPal has launched a new platform named PayPal World. It will integrate the world's largest payment systems and digital wallets.
The platform will begin by providing interoperability between PayPal and Venmo. UPI will also be a part of its initial offerings. This implies that Indian consumers can now shop from foreign merchants. They can pay seamlessly using the UPI option that they already know.
For instance, Indian buyers shopping to purchase apparel on a US-based website will now be presented with a UPI choice after tapping on the PayPal option upon checkout. This will enable them to make the payment using their UPI account.
Ritesh Shukla, Managing Director and CEO, NPCI International Payments Limited, welcomed this. He said that the integration of UPI on PayPal World's platform is an important step towards the global expansion of PayPal. It is in line with our vision to make cross-border payments more seamless, secure, and inclusive. This collaboration will increase convenience for Indian users making payments abroad and enable global businesses to take advantage of the growing base of UPI users.
The company said that this collaboration includes global partners representing nearly two billion users around the world. These include Mercado Paygo, NPCI International Payments Limited, PayPal, Tenpay Global, and Venmo. This move marks a new beginning for global digital payments.
