No water supply in Kota from 11 am to 4 pm today, due to repair work

A shutdown is scheduled from 11 am to 4 pm on August 6 for repairs at the ADB pump in Akelagarh, part of the Public Health Engineering Department in Kota. Executive Engineer Jeevandhar Rathore stated that due to this shutdown, water supply to the Akelagarh plant will be interrupted during this period.

The areas covered under Distribution Subdivision I include New Kota City, Dadabari, Basant Vihar Yojna, Ganesh Talab, Shivpura, Kishorpura, Keshavpura, Jawahar Nagar, Ghoda Basti, Rajendra Vihar, Swami Vivekanand Nagar (RSB), Vivekanand Nagar, Tagore Nagar, RK Puram (A, B, C), Medical College, Engineering College, GAD Colony, Durga Basti, Sajidehra, Waqf Nagar, Jawahar Nagar District Center, Mahavir Nagar Extension Yojna, Mahavir Nagar II, Balakund Area, and Teachers Colony. 

The areas under Distribution Subdivision II include all of Vigyan Nagar (Sectors 1 to 8), Sanjay Nagar, Odia Basti, Ganesh Basti, Cantonment, Ramchandrapura, Talwandi (Sectors A, B, C), Housing Board Colony, Indra Vihar, Gandhi Nagar Kachchi Basti, Motor Market, Bengali Colony (Cantonment), and Small Scale Industrial Area. 

Under Distribution Subdivision III are Kansua, Shriram Nagar, DCM Area, Power House Colony, Indira Gandhi Nagar, Prem Nagar (First, Second, Third), Govind Nagar, Surya Nagar, Bombay Yojna, JK Nagar, Prem Nagar Affordable, Kansua Affordable Housing Yojna, Chandrashekhar Azad Affordable Housing Yojna, Chambal Industrial Area, Mahavir Nagar (Sectors 1 to 10 in First and Third), Parijata Colony, Anantpura, Koli Pada, Gobariya Bawdi, Industrial Area (Roads 1 through 7), Bhamashah Mandi, Indira Gandhi Colony (Vigyan Nagar), Rangbari Yojna, Veer Savarkar Nagar, Hariom Nagar, UIT Colony - Balaji Nagar, Subhash Nagar, Vinoba Bhave Nagar, Ajay Ahuja Nagar, Arogya Nagar, Rajiv Gandhi Nagar, Pandit Deendayal Nagar, Transport Nagar, Vishwakarma Nagar, Rangbari Village, Krishna Nagar, Subhash Vihar, Anand Vihar, Ranpur Industrial Area, Triple IT, Ranpur Residential Dev Narayan Yojna, and Jagpura, with connection to the urban pipeline in Ranpur. 

Under Distribution Subdivision Pancham, affected areas include the shopping center, cantonment-Ramchandrapura, Kotri-Govardhanpura, Ballabhbari, Ballabh Nagar, Gumanpura, Gayatri Vihar, Bajrang Nagar, Sajidehra, APS Colony, Banjara Colony, and others. The Executive Engineer has urged all drinking water users to store enough water during the morning supply on August 6. He also mentioned that water will resume at low pressure during the night after repairs are completed.
