Veteran automobile manufacturer Maruti Suzuki is continuously expanding its portfolio. The company is trying to establish its dominance in every segment. These days, news is coming about Maruti's next-generation Baleno. It has been said that the upcoming vehicle will be brought with better mileage. Let us know about it.

According to Jagran, the next-gen Maruti Suzuki Baleno is expected to be launched in 2026. The upcoming vehicle will be one of five hybrid models. The premium hatchback has been well received by customers since its launch in the market in late 2015 and received a major update a few years ago. The Baleno is currently sold in 1.2LK series petrol and 1.0L Turbo BoosterJet petrol engine options.

It is purported to employ a range-extended hybrid system that was developed internally and can achieve over 35 kilometres per litre. The Indo-Japanese manufacturer will equip the next-generation Maruti Suzuki Baleno with a hybrid system. The petrol engine in this system dubbed the HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle), will serve as a range extender.

One of the best-selling vehicles in the nation, this five-seater is built on the Heartect platform. Maruti Suzuki already offers a lineup of mildly hybrid vehicles. Regarding this vehicle, no official statement has been made.
