Liver Doctor tells the story of a patient on x, why a 39-year-old vomited 3 liters of blood

The "Liver Doctor" of social media, popular liver specialist Dr. Cyriac AB Phillips, recently shared the case history of one of his patients who used to consume alcohol excessively and died of multiple organ failure at the age of 39. In a bid to raise awareness regarding the adversities caused by consuming alcohol in even modest quantities, this doctor from Kerala said that the man had all the money in the world but he could not recover from the damage caused by his dark rum whiskey.

Dr. Phillips wrote on x, "A 39-year-old man used to drink excessively. Every month he used to drink excessively for a whole week, sometimes drinking close to a liter a day of dark rum and whisky". He would then stop drinking for 3-4 weeks and continue with his work." He further said the man had wealth inherited from generations as his father dealt in timber and steel sales and had offices in India and abroad.

The patient, whose name has not been disclosed, was an apparent life of the party because every month he threw a party at his place where he was the "biggest entertainer" for his cousins and friends since he could afford to drink the most. However, last month his neighbors found him lying a few kilometers away from his home. Dr Phillips explained that the man's family had gone out and he needed to attend to run some errands at his home. "He was taken inside and bathed by neighbors who also called an ambulance. His cousins and friends came. After coming around at home, he refused to get into the ambulance and said everything was well.". Though everybody liked him as a big guy and he was the hero of all, his eyes were yellow, which everybody noticed, but still they followed his decision.
