ED expressed objection to Kejriwal's speech, Supreme Court said- we do not want to get involved in this

The Supreme Court on Thursday said it has made no exceptions in granting interim bail to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for campaigning in the Lok Sabha elections. The court also said that 'critical analysis of the decision is welcome.' A bench of Justices Sanjiv Khanna and Dipankar Dutta refused to consider the claims and replies of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Kejriwal's counsel on the statements related to interim bail to the Aam Aadmi Party national convenor.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is saying during his rallies that if the public press the 'Lotus' button on May 25, he will have to go back to jail, but if the public votes in support of the INDIA alliance candidates, he will have to go back to jail on June 2. Will not have to go to jail. In fact, one of the conditions imposed by the Supreme Court while granting bail to Kejriwal was that he would not talk about the Delhi liquor scam in public.

The Solicitor General, appearing for the ED, said that 'Kejriwal's statement is a slap on the face of the system.' He said that 'the petitioner (Arvind Kejriwal) is considering himself special, whereas we are looking at his case as a normal case. Please see what he said on the very first day of his release. Isn't this what the matter is about? On this Justice Khanna said, 'No, he has not talked about the case. This is their concept and we cannot say anything about it. We have said that our order was clear and we are clearly saying that we are not making any exception for anyone.
