Renders of the Motorola Edge 70 Ultra recently surfaced online, giving a glimpse of its possible design. Recently, a tipster has come up with some additional details regarding the technical specifications of the alleged device, such as the chipset, screen, cameras, and colors. This upcoming device is predicted to be a successor to the Edge 50 Ultra, which was launched in India back in June 2024. The leak provides a suggestion that this speculated device might have enhanced performance capabilities. For reference, the Edge 50 Ultra has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, but the successor is predicted to come with Qualcomm's newest Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor.

Tipster on Weibo, with the name ‘Panda is Bald’ (translated from Chinese), has shared specifications, as well as details, of the alleged Moto X70 Ultra, which is set to be launched worldwide by the tech giant as the Motorola Edge 70 Ultra. It is said to be available for purchase in Black, Green, and Bronze color options.

According to the information received, this handset will be equipped with Qualcomm's octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, which is built on a 3nm process and was launched on November 26. If true, this would be a major upgrade over its alleged predecessor, the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra, which comes with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor. While this isn't the first time such details have surfaced online, the smartphone maker hasn't yet confirmed the launch of the Ultra model.

Motorola is also expected to offer a 6.7-inch flat OLED display with up to a 120Hz refresh rate and 1.5K resolution on this handset. This will be a minor downgrade compared to the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra, which features a 6.7-inch LTPS pOLED screen with up to a 144Hz refresh rate and 1.5K (1,220x2,712 pixels) resolution. The Edge 50 Ultra also comes with Gorilla Glass Victus protection, HDR10+ content support, and up to 2500nits peak brightness.

In terms of camera, the Motorola Edge 70 Ultra is expected to feature a triple rear camera setup, consisting of a 50-megapixel main shooter, a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. This appears to be a slight downgrade from its predecessor, which featured a 64-megapixel (f/2.4) telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom capability.

Renders of the Motorola Edge 70 Ultra recently leaked online, revealing the phone's design. It was shown with a textured rear panel, which may feature a square camera module in the top-left corner. The power button and volume controls are seen on the right side of the handset, while an unknown button is also said to be on the left side.
