Mandaviya said - India creating an ecosystem, created 7.5 crore jobs created in seven years
113th International Labour Conference: Addressing the plenary session of the 113th International Labour Conference in Switzerland, Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said that 7.5 crore jobs have been created in India in seven years.

Union Labour and Employment Minister Mansukh Mandaviya announced on Wednesday that a total of 7.5 crore jobs in the formal sector had been generated in the country in the previous seven years. He also stated that India was creating an ecosystem from education to employment.
Addressing the plenary session of the 113th International Labour Conference in Geneva, Switzerland, Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said, India has made special progress in the field of employment. Because of this, more than 7.5 crore jobs in the formal sector have been generated in the past seven years. Our employment-related incentive scheme will further promote formal employment with an allocation of $ 12.8 billion.
The Union Minister further said, India has created a strong digital public infrastructure. This includes platforms like the National Career Service (NCS). It is a one-stop solution for our youth and working population.
On the sidelines of the conference, during a bilateral conversation with International Labour Organization (ILO) Director General Gilbert F. Houngbo, Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya highlighted the pro-poor and welfare schemes launched during the tenure of the Modi government in the last 11 years. He informed that India now ranks second in the world in terms of the number of beneficiaries, providing social security to about 94 crore citizens.
The ILO noted this and posted on its dashboard that 64.3% of the population (over 94 crore people) in India now falls under at least one social security benefit.
