Landslide again in Wayanad, administration issued warning for people; Rain havoc continues in Andhra Pradesh
A landslide occurred near Punchirimattam in Wayanad on Saturday. The epicenter of the landslide that occurred on July 30 was in Punchirimattam itself. The district administration has warned the people engaged in search and other work in the area to be cautious. Heavy rains have been occurring in some areas of Andhra Pradesh for several days. Due to rain, a landslide occurred in the Mughalrajpuram area in which 8 people died.

The district administration has warned the people engaged in search and other work in the area to be cautious. More than 200 persons died and 78 persons are still missing in the landslides that occurred in Mundakkai and Choralmala areas of Wayanad on July 30.
Continous rainfall in some areas of Andhra Pradesh is going on for many days. Because of the rain, a landslide occurred in the Mogalrajpuram area in which 8 people died. It is being told that because of the landslide in Vijayawada's Mogalrajpuram area, big stones fell on the houses of the deceased. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu announced an amount of Rs 5 lakh each to the families of the landslide victims.
An official statement said, 'A landslide occurred in Mogalrajpuram in Vijayawada, killing four people. CM Naidu has expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased. He announced an ex-gratia of ₹ 5 lakh each to the families of each deceased person.
The CM directed the officials to transfer people away from landslide-prone places as heavy rains are expected in the next two to three days.
