Korean automaker Kia has unveiled the interior of the new generation Carnival facelift MPV. The three-row MPV is scheduled to go on sale in South Korea this month before Kia brings it to India sometime next year.

The carmaker recently unveiled the new Carnival, the concept version of which is named KA4 was showcased at the Auto Expo 2023 held in January. Apart from the updated look, fresh interior, and new features, this MPV will come with a new powertrain. Come, let us know about it.

The interior of the new Carnival will not be updated as much as its exterior, which reflects the carmaker's new design language. The cabin gets dual-tone treatment and will be offered with three seating configurations. Among other changes, Kia has redesigned the center console, which now has most of the physical buttons removed. The dashboard now features a dual-screen setup, which is already seen in models like the Seltos and Carens.

Kia will equip the Carnival with all the latest features offered in its models. The new Carnival is expected to get other features like a head-up display, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless charging, panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, Bose surround speakers, and ventilated seats with memory function.

On the safety front, the new Carnival by Kia is expected to have at least eight airbags as well as advanced features like ADAS. It is expected that Kia will also add the Highway Driving Assist 2 system to it.

As far as exterior changes are concerned, the new Carnival will come with updated headlights and taillights, new signature LED DRLs with T-shaped styling along with an updated grille. Changes have also been made to the tailgate and bumper.

Under the hood, Kia is expected to offer a hybrid powertrain with a turbocharged 1.6-litre engine paired with an electric motor. The same setup is also offered on the Kia Sorento in global markets and delivers around 227 bhp and 350 Nm.
