Jhalawar Police Nab Key Accused in Health Scheme Scam Involving Fake Medical Bills
Rajasthan RGHS Scam: The main accused of the RGHS scam, a cooperative medical store operator with a reward of Rs 25,000, has been arrested from Pithampur in Indore. Other aspects of the scam will also be revealed soon.



Unveiling the big scam in the ambitious Rajasthan Government Health Scheme of the state government, Jhalawar police have arrested the prime accused of the scam and the cooperative consumer medical store owner Kamlesh Rathore with a reward of Rs 25,000. Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar stated that the accused, with Rahul Kumar Jain, a contract computer operator who works in the hospital, generated false medical bills and doctor's prescriptions of state employees and swindled lakhs of rupees from the government coffers.
The scam was exposed when the bill of drugs was forwarded to the CMHO office to be paid on the strength of a forged OPD slip. During the inquiry, abuse of the doctor's seal and signature on the prescriptions was established. Considering the seriousness of the case, the Superintendent of Police had announced a reward of Rs 25,000 on the arrest of the accused.
On the basis of technical investigation, the special police team arrested the accused from Pithampur, 40 km from Indore. During interrogation, it was revealed that the accused and his accomplices used to write expensive medicines and tests on fake prescriptions, on the basis of which fake bills were prepared and payment was taken.
