'Jersey number 20' retired in honor of the player who lost his life in a car accident

Liverpool has announced that retire 'jersey number 20' at all levels in honor of Diogo Jota. 28-year-old Diogo Jota lost his life in a car accident on July 3. The Premier League champion said in a statement, "He wore this jersey number proudly and gave us countless victories. Diogo Jota will always be 'number 20' of Liverpool Football Club. According to the Spanish police, Jota's car went off the road while driving at high speed and the car caught fire after the tire burst.
