Amidst the launch of the Chandrayaan Mission, Aditya L-1 Solar Mission, and Gaganyaan test vehicle, 59-year-old ISRO chief S Somnath has written an autobiography to make children and youth aware. His effort is to inspire those talented people who still lack confidence. In this, he has mentioned the difficulties he faced during his college days.

Like going to college on an old bicycle due to not being able to afford the bus travel expenses. There is mention of being forced to live in a small hut due to lack of money for engineering college hostel fees. The autobiography Nilavu Kudicha Simhangal is written in Malayalam and will be available in the market in November. When asked the reason for writing the book in Malayalam, he said, he feels comfortable in it.

Somnath said, that in the initial phase, there was no one to show me direction. I didn't even know whether to do a B.Sc. or engineering. The purpose of writing an autobiography is to inspire people to fulfill their dreams despite battling adversities. The lunar mission has made a big impact on the society. So many people, especially children, are inspired by its success. They have understood that India and Indians can do such great work.

When asked about luck or hard work, he said, there should be some luck in the beginning, but one should be ready to accept and use the opportunities that come your way. Many people will come into our lives with a purpose. We should be able to realize their role.
